notes
A varitation of the Maroon Clown, it has vivid yellow stripes instead of white. The Maroon Clownfish is one of the largest of all anemonefish and is one of the most aggresive. This fish should never be with other anemonefish or smaller, passive fish. It associates best with a Bubbletip (Entacmaea quadricolor) Anemone, and if a male/female pair is achieved, then they will both inhabit the same one.
overview

The Yellowstripe Maroon Clownfish (Premnas biaculeatus var.) is sometimes called a Maroon Clownfish. It belongs to the family named Pomacentridae. Typically reaching a max size of about 6.0 inches in length, the Yellowstripe Maroon Clownfish is aggressive in nature and hardy in stamina. It's more active during the daytime and less at night, and will hang out across the entire tank. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is unreported and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Premnas biaculeatus var. should not be housed in a tank less than 30 gallons in size. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.3, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023.
