The Yellow Finger Gorgonian terrific addition to add some color and flare to your tank. The one downfall is it must be fed every other day at the very least. It is best however to spot feed the polyps daily with the correct invert filter foods. These are deep water corals and thus recieve no benefit from light. |

The Yellow Finger Gorgonian (Diodogorgia nodulifera) is sometimes called a Yellow Finger Sea Fan. It belongs to the family named Anthothelidae. Typically reaching a max size of about 10.0 inches wide, and 10 inches in height, the Yellow Finger Gorgonian is passive in nature and sensitive in stamina. It's more active during the daytime and less at night. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is unreported and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Diodogorgia nodulifera in general should have low (2 watts/gallon) light to thrive. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.3, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023. Some of the environmental concerns that you should strive to replicate in your home aquaria to promote succesful acclimation include a strong water current and a moderate water current.
