notes
Another beautiful Dottyback, yet this one is quite different from the other members of its family. The Sunrise Dottyback is actually pretty passive and should not be housed with larger aggressive fish. It is quite shy and can be intimidated easily. One big plus is it will eat unwanted worms with a passion. Use a high quality diet. This one can loose its beautiful color quickly if not fed well.
overview

The Sunrise Dottyback (Pseudochromis flavivertex) belongs to the family named Pseudochromidae. Typically reaching a max size of about 3.0 inches in length, the Sunrise Dottyback is generally passive in nature and moderately hardy in stamina. It's more active during the daytime and less at night, and will hang out across the entire tank. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is unreported and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Pseudochromis flavivertex should not be housed in a tank less than 20 gallons in size. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.3, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023. Some of the environmental concerns that you should strive to replicate in your home aquaria to promote succesful acclimation include plenty of hiding places.
