Very attractive addition to the established reef tank. Typically have a very poor acclimation record, but once established they can be quite strong and a well-lived coral. It can act aggressively toward other corals, so choose placement wisely. Supplement with filter foods. |

The Pink Cauliflower Coral (Pocillopora sp.) is sometimes called a Pink Pocillopora Cauliflower Coral, a Pink Bird's Nest Coral, a Pink Cluster Coral, or a Pink Brush Coral. It belongs to the family named Pocilloporidae. The Pink Cauliflower Coral is semi-aggressive in nature and sensitive in stamina. It's more active during the daytime and less at night. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is unreported and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Pocillopora sp. in general should have bright (4 watts/gallon) light to thrive. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.4, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023. Some of the environmental concerns that you should strive to replicate in your home aquaria to promote succesful acclimation include a well established aquarium, high water quality, a strong water current, a moderate water current, and a fluctuating water current.
