Its shape is similar to that of a tree with its long stalk and "branches". As it mature, it will stretch more and more towards the lights. The Kenya Tree is a relatively peaceful coral, but at times can be defensive if housed to close with hard corals. It likes medium to strong water currents, and bright lights. |

The Kenya Tree (Capnella sp.) is sometimes called a Cauliflower Soft Coral. It belongs to the family named Nephtheidae. The Kenya Tree is semi-aggressive in nature and hardy in stamina. It's more active during the daytime and less at night. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is unreported and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Capnella sp. in general should have standard (3 watts/gallon) light to thrive. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.3, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023. Some of the environmental concerns that you should strive to replicate in your home aquaria to promote succesful acclimation include a strong water current, a moderate water current, and a fluctuating water current.
