A very fast and large growing mushroom. This mushroom anemone needs plenty of room to stretch out and grow. Feed brine shrimps and zooplankton for smaller specimens, larger ones may require occasional supplemental feedings of cut shrimp or fish. |

The Green Mushroom Anemone (Actinodiscus sp.) is sometimes called a Green Fluorescent Mushroom Coral, a Green Mushroom Colony, or a Green Disc Anemone. It belongs to the family named Actinodiscidae. Typically reaching a max size of about 10 inches in diameter, the Green Mushroom Anemone is semi-aggressive in nature and moderately hardy in stamina. It's more active during the daytime and less at night, and will hang out or do best in the rock structures. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is good and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Actinodiscus sp. in general should have standard (3 watts/gallon) light to thrive. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.3, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023. Some of the environmental concerns that you should strive to replicate in your home aquaria to promote succesful acclimation include a moderate water current and a fluctuating water current.
