notes
The Golden Dwarf Moray is pretty good eel for people who would like to keep smaller fish. They are not aggressive and get along well with even small fish. Now of course there is still the chance that they would eat a small fish that would fit in its mouth, but this is the smallest eel in the trade, only reaching about 10 inches in length, so small fish is a relative thing.
overview

The Golden Dwarf Moray (Gymnothorax melatremus) belongs to the family named Muraenidae. Typically reaching a max size of about 10.0 inches in length, the Golden Dwarf Moray is generally passive in nature and hardy in stamina. It's more active during the daytime and less at night, and will hang out or do best in the lower tank area. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is unreported and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Gymnothorax melatremus should not be housed in a tank less than 55 gallons in size. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.3, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023. Some of the environmental concerns that you should strive to replicate in your home aquaria to promote succesful acclimation include extra swimming area and plenty of hiding places.
