notes
Feather Duster can be a great addition to any reef aquarium. They do not need to be high in the tank sense they primarily are filter feeders. Ample fluxuating current would increase their survival greatly.
overview

The Feather Duster (Sabellastarte magnifica) belongs to the family named Sabellidae. Typically reaching a max size of about 4 inches in diameter, the Feather Duster is passive in nature and sensitive in stamina. Based on the particular specimen you acquire and its environment, the time when it is most active can fluctuate day or night. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is good and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Sabellastarte magnifica in general should have standard (3 watts/gallon) light to thrive. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.3, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023. Some of the environmental concerns that you should strive to replicate in your home aquaria to promote succesful acclimation include high water quality and a moderate water current.

I got a feather duster recently for a community tank I was setting up, and it has been great for something slightly unusual in my tank. It's just a specimen that adds great variety to a tank and can be an excellent conversation starter.
