notes
A true icon of the marine aquarium hobby, this fish is just a joy to keep and observe. Very peaceful and sometimes amusing, these little ones make a great addition to any community reef tank and can be kept in groups. It will typically associate itself with the Ritteri (Heteractis magnifica), Carpet (Stichodactyla gigantea), and S. mertensii anemones although it does not need one to survive.
overview

The False Percula Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) is sometimes called a False Clown Anemonefish, an Ocellaris Anemonefish, an Anemone Demoiselle, or a Nemo. It belongs to the family named Pomacentridae. Typically reaching a max size of about 3.0 inches in length, the False Percula Clownfish is passive in nature and hardy in stamina. It's more active during the daytime and less at night, and will hang out across the entire tank. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is unreported and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Amphiprion ocellaris should not be housed in a tank less than 20 gallons in size. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.3, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023.
