notes
An easy coral to care for if housed properly. Maintain moderate to strong water flow under at least power compact lighting. It is aggressive and should be placed far enough from other corals to allow room for growth. It is especially aggressive towards a variety of "leather" corals. It can harm and kill and kill them so mix with caution. Supplement with filter foods.
overview

The Colt Coral (Cladiella sp.) is sometimes called a Cauliflower Colt Coral, a Soft Finger Leather Coral, a Blushing Coral, or a Seaman's Hands Coral. It belongs to the family named Alcyoniidae. The Colt Coral is semi-aggressive in nature and moderately hardy in stamina. It's more active during the daytime and less at night. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is unreported and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Cladiella sp. in general should have bright (4 watts/gallon) light to thrive. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.4, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023. Some of the environmental concerns that you should strive to replicate in your home aquaria to promote succesful acclimation include a strong water current, a moderate water current, and a fluctuating water current.
