notes
Another hardy and common clownfish in the market today. Similar to some of the other semi-aggresive clowns, it may pick on other anemonefish or slower passive fish. The Clarkii really doesn't have a true preference as to what anemone it will adopt. It is usually happy with any of them. Even though it is aliased as a "Sebae" Clownfish, it is in fact not. It is just a very common misidentification.
overview

The Clarkii Clownfish (Amphiprion clarkii) is sometimes called a Clark's Clownfish, a Clark's Anemonefish, a "Sebae" Clownfish, a Clark's Clownfish, or a Clark's Anemonefish. It belongs to the family named Pomacentridae. Typically reaching a max size of about 6.0 inches in length, the Clarkii Clownfish is semi-aggressive in nature and hardy in stamina. It's more active during the daytime and less at night, and will hang out across the entire tank. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is unreported and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Amphiprion clarkii should not be housed in a tank less than 30 gallons in size. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.3, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023. Some of the environmental concerns that you should strive to replicate in your home aquaria to promote succesful acclimation include plenty of hiding places.
