Recieving its name since it at times appears to be a mass of frog or fish eggs. This is a fairy hardy and definatly popular coral. Given the proper care and provided supplemental feedings of filter foods, it can be a long lived and beautiful addition to your tank. |

The Branched Frogspawn Coral (Euphyllia paradivisa) is sometimes called a Torch Coral, an Octopus Coral, a Wall Coral, or a Grape Coral. It belongs to the family named Caryophylliidae. Typically reaching a max size of about 5 inches in diameter, the Branched Frogspawn Coral is aggressive in nature and moderately hardy in stamina. It's more active during the daytime and less at night. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is unreported and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Euphyllia paradivisa in general should have bright (4 watts/gallon) light to thrive. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.3, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023. Some of the environmental concerns that you should strive to replicate in your home aquaria to promote succesful acclimation include high water quality and a moderate water current.

Do not let salinity get above 1.027 with these guys at all. They will develop brown jelly disease and die quickly if this happens.
