notes
Its hard to not recognize this one. The Bird Wrasse has an elongated "beak" which it uses to grasp its food and bash it against rocks to kill it and break it apart. Only one per tank, unless its a mated pair. Its easy to tell the male from the female. The male is green, and the female is brown to black.
overview

The Bird Wrasse (Gomphosus varius) is sometimes called a Green Bird Wrasse (male), a Brown Bird Wrasse (female), or a Black Bird Wrasse (female). It belongs to the family named Labridae. Typically reaching a max size of about 11.1 inches in length, the Bird Wrasse is aggressive in nature and hardy in stamina. It's more active during the daytime and less at night, and will hang out across the entire tank. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is unreported and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Gomphosus varius should not be housed in a tank less than 100 gallons in size. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 8.1 - 8.3, temperature between 77 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, and a salinity between 1.020 - 1.023. Some of the environmental concerns that you should strive to replicate in your home aquaria to promote succesful acclimation include extra swimming area and a stable cave/sheltering ledge.

The bird wrasse(Gomphousus varius) will eat bait fish, snails, shrimp, hermit crabs ect. Be carefull when adding to a community tank with any of the above.
