notes
This is one the most peaceful freshwater specimen you are likely to find. Unlike most cichlids, the Blue Ram is an extremely good community fish. Their splotchy color pattern make them a very attractive addition as well.
overview

The Blue Ram (Papiliochromis ramirezi) is sometimes called a German Blue Ram. It belongs to the family named Cichlidae. Typically reaching a max size of about 3.2 inches in length, the Blue Ram is passive in nature and sensitive in stamina. , and will hang out or do best in the rock structures. According to FishDB current data, captive breeding success is good after pairing up and there are no external signs of sexual differences. Papiliochromis ramirezi should not be housed in a tank less than 20 gallons in size. Tank parameters should be maintained with ph level between 5.1 - 7.0, temperature between 72 - 79 degrees fahrenheit, Some of the environmental concerns that you should strive to replicate in your home aquaria to promote succesful acclimation include a stable cave/sheltering ledge, extra swimming area, high water quality, and planted aquarium.
