Getting Started
At FishDB, our goal is simple, spend more time finding information and less time searching for it. We wanted to build an easy to use, robust, in-depth, flexible learning environment that has everything the aquarist may need. And we are adding new features all the time so keep those suggestions coming!
To take full advantage of what FishDB has to offer today, simply create your free account and you will have access to use our exclusive ORCA compatibility engine and be able to create your own Virtual Tanks.
You can also submit new species, post comments, upload images, rate and vote on information and plenty of other things that will continually define and structure the information available. Simply visit any database page to learn from and share with other enthusiastic hobbyist as we all pursue the joys of this great hobby.

We recently had a backend server update. Initially this caused errors to appear on several pages that depended on a particular type of access protocol. If you happen to see any errors come up on a page or notice a service not acting quite like you would expect, please let us know. We have cleaned up all of the ones we could find, but there may be a few others we have yet to notice. Thanks.

We have adjusted how the back-end process handles submitted Virtual Tank images. This process has been tested and appears to be working as designed. If you have any problems with this new process, please let us know.
